Chaparral is rapidly establishing himself as one of the great spread
bulls in the breed. Perhaps the legendary Heavens Sakes
greatest son, he is siring outstanding bulls and females. The females
are feminine and phenotypically correct with excellent feet, legs,
and udders. His bull calves are smooth shouldered with strong growth
rates and are well muscled. Chaparrals calves won the Pen of
3 WDA at the 2003 Midland Bull test. Used on both cows and heifers,
he will help improve seedstock and commercial herds.
Semen is available for $20US/straw and Certificates for $35 US. Please

Cherokee has come into his own. One of the breed's most exciting sires,
ABS describes him as "The Breed's Most Complete Performance and
Carcass Sire". Without doubt the best son of Canyon to date,
he is not only a true calving ease sire, he is in the top 15% of the
breed for WW, the top 20% for YW, the top 4% for Marbling, and the
top 1% for REA. Cherokee's first daughters calved in 2001. Excellent
mothers, they are easy fleshing cows that are broody and feminine.
Their calves, below average at birth, were 5% above average at weaning.
Cherokee sold in our 1998 sale to Leachman Cattle Co. He is owned
with them and with Hueftle Cattle Co. in Nebraska. He is leased to
ABS Global,
and semen is available through ABS.
