T-Bar Ranch Red Angus is closely affiliated with the Strawberry Ridge Reds seedstock Red Angus operation of the U/U Ranch. Located in the Paradise Valley of south central, Montana, about 20 miles south of Livingston, the T-Bar and U/U are striving to produce the most balanced Red Angus genetics for the commercial cattleman. Focusing on easy calving, high milking, high fertility and phenotypically correct calves that convert feed efficiently, we have the Red Angus genetics that put profit to the bottom line of our customers.

   T-Bar Ranch Red Angus is owned and operated by Art and Cathy Burns and managed by Jim Frazier. Cross F Red Angus is owned and managed by Jim and Cathy Frazier. The T-Bar and Cross F herds are run in an integrated manner with Strawberry Ridge Red Angus. We use the same sires and clean up bulls, graze the same pastures, share the same philosophy and we ratio the herds together.

   We strive to raise Red Angus seedstock cattle with moderate birth weight, high growth and maternals, feed efficiency, calm dispositions, and good feet and legs. Our top main herd sires, Chapparral 986 and Wide Spread, are doing the work we hoped for when Strawberry Ridge Reds purchased them. Chapparral has excelled in growthy calves that are phenotypically correct, and he is proving to be his sire Heaven's Sake's replacement. Wide Spread produces thick made calves with high maternal traits. Both produce moderate birth weight. We have heifers in production from both bulls.

   With the growth in numbers of our purebred herd, SRR Top Ridge was added to our herd battery. Additionally, Strawberry Ridge Red Angus and T-Bar Ranch Red Angus purchased a significant interest in possibly the most complete bull in the breed, LCC Major League. We are excited to see first-hand what impact he will have on the breed.  Many of his 2005 bull and heifer calves will be offered at our production sale March 8th, 2006 at the ranch.
